Energy independence
Investing in energy independence
Our goal is to build one of the most energy-modern pet food production plants in Europe.
Photovoltaics — 10 MW of our own power
We've commissioned a 10 MW photovoltaic installation that powers production with solar energy every day, cutting fossil-fuel use and steadily reducing the environmental footprint of our operations.
Biogas plant
The next stage is our own biogas plant. It will generate both electricity and process steam used directly in production — increasing the plant's self-sufficiency and resource efficiency.
Energy storage
Energy storage will be integral to the system, enabling optimal use of renewable energy, supply stabilisation and greater energy security for the plant.
Together they form a modern energy ecosystem that supports responsible production and long-term operational stability.
Efficiency
Efficiency starts with technology
Sustainability isn't only about our own energy — it's also the continuous improvement of every production stage. We deploy solutions that cut energy use, improve process efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions.
Energy recovery
A modern heat-recovery system on the sterilisers reuses energy in production processes, significantly cutting consumption.
Loss reduction
Comprehensive plant upgrades and fittings insulation reduced heat losses by over 90%, improving the efficiency of the whole system.
Steam system modernisation
Replacing the steam traps eliminated process-steam losses, cutting unnecessary energy use and CO₂ emissions.
